FoodLens AI ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide the app's functionality:

• Account information — email address and password (stored securely on our servers)
• Food logs — meals, portions, and nutritional data you enter
• Body metrics — weight and calorie goals you set in the app
• Photos — food photos you take for AI recognition (processed and not stored permanently)
• Voice input — audio recorded for food logging (processed in real time, not stored)
• Device identifier — anonymous ID used to identify your device for security purposes

2. Camera & Microphone

The app requests access to your camera and microphone solely to enable food logging features (photo recognition, barcode scanning, and voice input). We do not record, store, or share your camera or microphone data beyond the immediate processing required for these features.

3. Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your permission, FoodLens AI reads and writes data to Apple Health, including:

• Body weight
• Active and dietary energy

HealthKit data is used only to display information within the app and to sync your logged nutrition. We never use HealthKit data for advertising or share it with third parties.

4. Speech Recognition

Voice food logging uses Apple's on-device Speech Recognition framework. Audio is processed to convert speech to text and is not stored or transmitted to our servers.

5. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the app's features
• To sync your data across your devices
• To send you reminders you have configured (no marketing emails)
• To diagnose technical issues and crashes

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transfers. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at contact@ikornweb.dev. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

FoodLens AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
